To my late sister, Dad’s first born and my guardian.
You came first, so you could teach me how to live.
I came last, so you could teach me how to be loved.
You were more than a sister. You were mother, mentor, and home.
Your life was a candle in the wind — fragile to the storm, but bright enough to light a whole family.
Though you are gone, your light still guides me.
Every good thing in me has your fingerprints on it.
Sleep on, first born of our father.
Your last born will make you proud.
Rest in peace. Forever in my heart.
