Tribute to My Mum, Late Evangelist Mercy Adegboye (née Olukunle) It is with a heavy heart, yet profound gratitude to God for a life well lived, that I pay tribute to my beloved mother, Late Evangelist Mercy Adegboye (née Olukunle). Mum, your unwavering faith and remarkable sense of humour, even in the face of life's greatest challenges, were a constant source of inspiration. You taught us that joy and trust in God could sustain us through every season. I will never forget the countless times you visited me while I was in boarding school. Those visits were a beautiful expression of your unconditional love and devotion. Your care extended far beyond your own children—you embraced family, friends, neighbours, and even strangers with the same generosity and compassion. Everyone who encountered you experienced your kindness, warmth, and selfless spirit. You were not only our mother but also a true matriarch. Your home was always open, and you lovingly welcomed many of our uncles, aunties, and relatives at different stages of their lives. You nurtured everyone with patience, wisdom, and genuine love, making each person feel valued and at home. Thank you for your countless sacrifices and unwavering support, especially during the challenging seasons my own family faced. Your prayers, encouragement, and steadfast presence gave us strength when we needed it most. Above all, thank you for leading each of us to Christ. Your greatest legacy was not only the love you showed but the faith you lived every day. You taught us to love God wholeheartedly, to serve Him faithfully, and to care for others without expecting anything in return. Because of your faith, we have the blessed assurance that this is only a temporary separation. You have gone to rest in the presence of the Lord, and we look forward to the glorious day we shall meet again. As we mourn your passing, we also celebrate your extraordinary life and pray for God's grace to continue the legacy of faith, love, generosity, and community service that you so beautifully exemplified. Rest peacefully, dear Mum. Your memory will forever remain in our hearts, and your legacy will continue to live through all whose lives you touched. Adieu, Mum. Until we meet again.
