Tribute to Mummy Adegboye, as I do call you. Mummy Adegboye was truly a mother in every sense of the word. She embodied love, kindness, mercy and generosity, and anyone who had the privilege of knowing her could attest to the warmth she radiated. She was incredibly accommodating, always making room in her heart and home for others. She never withheld kindness or good things from anyone. Giving came naturally to her, and she found genuine joy in being a blessing to others, probably because one of her names is “Mercy”. Above all, Mummy Adegboye was a devoted lover of Christ. Her faith was not merely something she professed, it was evident in the way she lived. She never missed an opportunity to share the love and message of Christ with everyone around her. Through her words, actions, and unwavering trust in God, she inspired many to draw closer to Him. The last time I saw you was at a church event. One of her most remarkable qualities was her ability to bring hope in every situation. No matter how difficult the circumstances, she always had words of encouragement that lifted weary hearts and reminded us that God was still in control. Her comforting presence and steadfast faith brought strength to many lives. Although her passing leaves a void that cannot easily be filled, we are comforted by the beautiful legacy she leaves behind, a legacy of faith, love, generosity, and hope. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone she touched. Sleep on, dear Mummy Adegboye. Your race is finished, your faith has become sight, and your beautiful legacy will never be forgotten. May your gentle soul rest peacefully in the presence of the Lord until we meet again.
