Mercy Adenrele Adegboye

"Mercy" as my late dad, your ęgbon would call you. That's how I knew you because daddy would alway tell me "Mercy ni ki nki ę". The first time he told me, I asked him, who is Mercy and he said "Mercy Adegboye, nurse, ęgbọn awọn Olukunle! I knew all your siblings except you but felt you because my dad always spoke fondly of you and never failed to deliver your regards to me. We only had one opportunity to talk and in that conversation, I felt the 'Olukunle warmth'. I sent you a friend request on Facebook on June 27th. You accepted it on June 28th and early hours of June 30th (which was still June 29th my time) you commented on the 1 year remembrance post I made for dad on Facebook. As always, your comment was warm, soothing, consoling and hopeful. I was shocked to later learn that you went to be with the Lord the same June 30th. I will forever cherish this simple but significant engagement we had on Facebook. Thank you for loving your ęgbọn, my dad the way you did. I always felt it. May your soul rest in peace and may the Lord grant your children, grandchildren, siblings and the entire Adegboye, Olukunle, and Sabiyi families the strength to bear the loss of a beautiful, kindhearted, and service-oriented matriarch. Amen!
